Flash Customizer For Instax Mini 99

I originally designed this so I could add the flash gels that came with my Lomo' Instant Square Glass to my Instax Mini 99 Camera, as it turns out though it also works great for custom flashes too. It is friction fit very snuggly and only costs 1gram of filament to make, I spent a whole day at the river doing all kinds of shenanigans and it never came off! You can cut wax/parchment paper to fit this flash customizer mount and it'll work as a diffuser, you can cut any colored thin plastic to fit and you'll have a different colored flash, or you can simply get some lighting gels online for cheap and cut them to size, most large gel packs meant for massively bigger lights than the flash on the Mini 99 will only run you about $7.00 for a pack of 10.

The width of the slot where you slide the gel/diffuser in is 11.5mm however I like to size whatever I'm cutting to 12mm just to get a nice snug fit, the height of your gel/diffuser should be 30mm or more to cover the whole flash.

PS: Green flashes are my favorite, they are great for foliage/trees in those moments where they are backlit. I like to underexpose the shot by setting the camera to one of the darker modes in order to not blow out the sky, then when the green flash goes off on the underexposed trees it brightens them up whilst also making them look much more natural color-wise.
