Summary

The pen you've requested has arrived -- the venerable AIM-9M Sidewinder.  This model has a lot of detail and yet still works as a functional pen.  The cap seamlessly blends with the body so while the cap is on, it is simply a scale model of the AIM-9M.

Background: The AIM-9 “M” variant started service in 1983 in the Falklands war and later was used in the 1991 Gulf war, engagements in Kosovo, and into the 2000's wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.  It has slowly been replaced since by the “X” variant, however, the “M” variant still sees use to this day, such as in Ukraine.

Assembly

Remove the ink/tip from a Bic pen, then insert it into the printed pen, that's it.

The pen was tested to work with Bic Cristal pens, but other pens may work.  If you want to get the same pens I tested it with, use this link:

Boost Me (for free)

If you enjoy my work and would like to help support my ability to share more (and even better) models in the future, please consider boosting or buying me a coffee at the link below.   Your support is what helps me have enough filament and supplies to do all the print testing required for my models to be high quality and easy to assemble.  It takes a mountain of test prints for each model. Thanks :-)

Here's a link to my Buy Me a Coffee page, thanks for the support!
