Arcade Hoops – Electronic Desktop Basketball Game
Print Profile(1)

Description

Bring the arcade to your desktop with this Arduino-powered mini basketball shooter! This buildable game features a digital scoreboard with high score tracking, a countdown timer, and a spring-loaded launcher to fire those perfect shots. It’s fast-paced, addictive, and way more fun than staring at your inbox.
Powered by an Arduino Nano, the electronics are a medium difficulty introduction to building a fully functional Arduino project. The provided source code (GitHub) is tweakable to mod the game to your liking. The launcher gives a satisfying spring, and the compact design makes it perfect for an office challenge, maker faire demo, or just flexing your printing + electronics skills.
Be sure to read the comprehensive assembly guide PDF (also available on GitHub) before diving into this project. A full list of materials is included in the guide.
