Octopus 4/Dark Knight 3P compatible A.T.field D-pad v1.2 Angled Version

1 Model Introduction

A D-pad cap suitable for Flydigi Octopus and Dark Knight, inspired by the A.T. Field from Neon Genesis Evangelion. It recreates the octagon shape with layered height differences, allowing for a comfortable thumb placement. This design has a slight angle, making the downward directional key harder to trigger; users preferring a normal angle should refer to the non-angled version.

Note: This model is version 1.2, and has been thoroughly tested through multiple prints,no printing issues exist.If you encounter printing problems, please take a few minutes to adjust the print settings, clean or replace your build plate, ensure the filament is dry or replace your filament. This model also supports resin printing, where supports can be added; however, the resin material may deform due to material strength issues, hindering long-term and intensive use. Therefore, if your resin is not sufficiently strong, reinforce the thickness of the keycap's rear catch.

2 Keycap Post-Processing Guide

For FDM printing, multi-color printing can be used.
For resin printing, use 800 and 1500 grit sandpaper to smooth the contact points and surface. Then, apply a chameleon-like water-based paint + topcoat using a powder puff sponge for the edges and apply topcoat to protect the finish. Octagonal transparent stickers can be applied internally to separate the inner and outer feel of the key. The image below shows a modification example.
