Quarter pound hamburger manual patty press & mold
Print Profile(1)

Description
Inspiration for this model comes from a commercially produced style hand patty press. The concept is to create hamburger patties of the perfect shape and size to fit a premium bun, approximately 4.75" x 0.75". For ease of printing, I have created the model into three objects or parts, the bottom part, which is the mold for the patties, the top part, which is the press to shape the patty into the mold, and the handle to the press. The threads may be a little tight at first. Work the handle back and forth and clean out the threads slowly working the plastic bits out of the threads and it will thread on. If you find the threads are much too tight, you can scale up the handle slightly. Or you may scale it down if you find they are sloppy. Same applies to the mold and press, as in, they can be scaled up or down to fine tune the fitment for your printer. If you have any difficulties with the model, please message me. I want to help. I want you to enjoy the model as intended. Thank you for your continued support and patience.
*Recommended to use wax or parchment paper underneath the patty. Meat will likely try to stick inside the mold if you do not use a release agent of some sort. I like to cut wax paper in circles to fit the mold. You may use a non-stick spray or some other method, but I do not recommend using it as is without some kind of preparation to prevent sticking.
**Are you interested in a different version? I have seen some where the ring is printed separate from the base allowing easy removal of the ring to release the patty. There are downsides to this design, but I am open to suggestions for improving my designs. Thank you for your support.
