PocketCube GBA - Cartridge Pokeball - Multipart
Print Profile(1)

Description
The PocketCube GBA is a storage case designed to hold up to six Game Boy Advance games, featuring a design that pays homage to the iconic Pokéball from the Pokémon universe. This is my very first 3D creation, combining simplicity, functionality, and a retro touch that will appeal to fans of Nintendo and handheld gaming.
🎮 Key Features
- Capacity: 6 GBA games (standard Game Boy Advance format, Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen, etc.)
- Dimensions: 80 mm (L) × 80 mm (W) × 84 mm (H)
(A minor dimensional discrepancy occurred during design, without impacting functionality.)
🖨️ 3D Printing
- Estimated Print Time: ~8h16 (tested on Bambu Lab P1S)
- Filament Weight: ~209 g (optimized for strength and economy)
- Material: Bambu Lab PLA recommended; PETG possible for enhanced durability
🧩 Assembly
- Designed for printing without AMS (multi-material not required)
- Main parts require adhesive; the central button inserts via pressure fit
- Snap-on lid; functions well with PLA, but better with PETG for heavy use
🖼️ Surface & Details
- Lid & base on smooth plate
- Interior on textured PEI plate
- Subtle, finely engraved side detail, reminiscent of vintage TCG storage cases
🌟 Inspirations and Future Variations
This model is a completely original creation, freely inspired by Pokéballs and Pokémon TCG card storage solutions. It incorporates elements from Klausur’s model (credited), but the dimensions have been entirely revised for optimal GBA cartridge fit.
Alternative versions may be developed (“Speed Ball”, “Aqua Ball” styles, or even “GS versions”, for connoisseurs 😉). Perhaps also formats for DS, Switch, or other retro gaming platforms!
👤 About Me
This is my very first 3D modeling project! I learned a great deal in creating it, and I would be delighted to receive your feedback, suggestions, or ideas for improvement.
Thank you for your support — and above all, happy 3D printing!
