Skewers Shelf

Description
Tired of the look of plastic?
This shelf is great for small and light items, like paint, childrens book, organization items. It uses skewers to give the look of wood using a very cheap material.

The ones I'm using are about 4.2mm, but there is a small tolerance for a better fit. If you are unsure, you can print just one ring and check if the stick slides through with no issue. If it doesn't, you can use the customizer to increase the diameter. The length of the shelf will depend on the length of your stick, of course.
Assembly instructions:
Cut the tips of the skewer. This increases the area for the glue and makes the final connection better.

Start on one side - place the ring inside, add glue, and place the sticks through the other ring. I place them intercalating, tip and bottom, so there isn't one side that is weaker.
Don't put too much glue! It's going to mess up everything. Don't ask me how I know that.
I used silicon glue, which feels like hot glue but it's slow to dry, so i can manouver everything before it dries up. If you put inside, and place the ring on top, there should be enough in the bottom of the holes so sticks glue in there.
It's important to put the sticks through that “ring” while putting it in. When they are all in their holes, it's almost impossible to line up everything on the other side to put them through the holes again. Don't ask me how I know that. But that is the reason that piece is separate.
Add glue to the other side, and slowly push the ring to the inside of the finishing side.

If you want a longer shelf, do the same steps using the connector piece.
Use double sided tape to place it on the wall.

It sounds a bit complicated, but it takes me less than 10 min to put it together. And it looks great on the wall.
