Opening is 1.1 inches (27.94mm) wide. This fits my Ego trimmer purchased two years ago. I looked at every mount for weedwhackers and Ego trimmers but I felt like I could make a perfect one for my use case. Many required a 2x4 baseplate. Others looked like they had a weak overhang. I focused on increased strength and ease of installation. Ever so slight upward angle to counteract weight like certain tractor trailer beds do. Access hole for top screw to pass through an extension.
I installed with two 75-lb EZ Ancor drywall anchors. I always have great success with this style and only buy the 75lb. If you can hit a stud, even better!
I am hoping people find other uses for this as well beyond the trimmer. More variations and widths will be uploaded soon like one that holds 4 paint poles!
