The Imperial Star Destroyer is the most iconic capital ship of the Galactic Empire in Star Wars, renowned for its wedge-shaped hull and overwhelming firepower. Measuring 1600 meters long, the Imperial-class Star Destroyer boasts 60 heavy turbolasers, 60 ion cannons, and tractor beam emitters. It can carry 72 TIE fighters, 9700 stormtroopers, and 20 AT-AT walkers, making it capable of subduing an entire planet alone. Its design originates from the Acclamator-class during the Clone Wars, evolving through the Venator-class to become the Imperial-class, the cornerstone of Grand Moff Tarkin’s strategy of deterrence. At its height, the Empire possessed over 25,000 Star Destroyers, a testament to its military dominance.
