Description

The Oglow Birdhouse, easy to print and personalize. Built in fence post topper. Hanging option here.

Assembly:

Print all the parts
snap in the back vent nice and firm
Screw in the Ring hole and perch
Align the top tabs
push in the bottom panels to snap the bottom tabs

Optional 2 tone face plates in the slicer, as well as single color face plates.

recommended to do in petg for UV resistance. But I have printed several in PLA currently installed outside to see how well they do in the elements so far I haven't noticed any deformation or fading.

how has the PLA done outside the last month? I'm thinking of printing some of these in wood colored PLA myself for outdoor use.

Hey, I've had them baking in the sun for almost 2 months now. the worse distortion I can find is either the front or back panel curving in slightly which gives a gap roughly 1/8 of an inch at most. However the front and pack panel tabs are stick snug and secured in the bird house main body and no signs of falling out. the main bird house body has zero signs or deflection or distortion, they look awesome. I would personally say this bird house when printed to my slicer presets can handle the 30 to 40 degrees celsius and direct sun exposure it's had for the past weeks with nothing but slightly bigger gaps here and there between the faceplates and the main bird house body. the faceplate tabs stay put In their place. the perch is also solid with zero deformations when printed to my slicer specs. hope this helps. oh and I can't see any colour changes yet.

any chance a 5”x5” for Vinyl fence get created ?

how big would you want it, 5.125 x 5.125 or 5.0625 x 5.0625?

hey thank you for your response, post is 5x5, so I hope 5.0625 would be good, I would want a snugger fit, so should be good. thank you very much, very kind of you, if I wasn’t new and had the slicer figured out, I guess I could have done it myself😉

I test printed the base. Fits a 4x4 from big box store here in US, beautifully. Next spring, time for a new birdhouse! Or, If I learn to design, remix into a new birdhouse.

Does anyone else find it's just a bit too small to fit over a 4x4 post?
