Description

Since all my sorting stuff is either Skadis or Gridfinity, I needed something for my new hobby: Pokemon Trading Card Game.
Surprisingly, there was no Card Box out there compatible with Gridfinity (that fits my expectations) so I decided to make some myself.

All of them provide the Gridfinity "foot" and a "base" on top so all of them are stackable.
On the bottom you can also add magnets if you prefer.
Lid stays in place due to friction, so no magnets on top.

Those are "Energy" based, therefore the Energy Smybol is shown on the box. This version is Grass Energy.
You can print it without AMS!
Energy Symbol is face-down so you get the pattern of your build plate on it.

Have a look at the Collection if you need another / further Symbols: https://makerworld.com/collections/7825637

The "triangles" on the left and right to the lid are a simply color change at Layer 275 (use if you like, ignore if not; it's not in the pictures here, have a look at the collection to see how it looks like. I didn't want it here :D ).
For some (like Metal), I really like it.

Hope you enjoy it as I do! :)

I love the model but when I printed it the lid wouldn't stay on. I did increase the length by 2mm so it would fit dragon shield sleeves, so wondering if that's why. @PapasBastelbude Any chance you have a suggestion?

Thank you! Don't the sleeves fit in height? Simply "enlarging" everything destroys the Gridfinity standard,,, (I use penny sleeves, they fit perfectly)

The height is good! Sorry I meant the width so it could fit 60 Dragon Shield sleeves. That makes sense! I'll play around with the sizes and see if I can make it work anyway.

An alternative would be if I enlarged it to a 2x2 grid. But that would be a lot of wasted space and material, wouldn't it

Thank you! Using Penny Sleeves (extra thin), you have a lot of space left when 60 cards are inside (I typically have 60 cards in penny sleeves + 1 original coin and there is still some space left). So without sleeves, I'm pretty sure that 80 cards are no problem at all, maybe more. If you use less slim sleeves (like Dragon Shield), a user reported that only 50~55 cards fit in one box. Hope that helps!

This looks great. Do you have a model WITHOUT any artwork (I have a different CCG)?
