Rockshox version of my popular XL mud guard, this one is designed to fit Rockshox Lyrik. It may also fit other Rockshox forks who have tripple mounting holes (let me know!).

For Fox version, see https://makerworld.com/en/models/983667-xl-mud-guard-for-fox-34-fox-36-fox-38-forks#profileId-1593710 instead.

Requires three M3x16 screws and washers to attach to your fork. Additionally, two M3x10+ mm screws and two M3 nuts are required to join the two halves together to add stiffness and reduce noise.

I was one of the guys who requested the lyric mudguard. Mine in ASA held up strong until it broke probably caused by a crash. Sadly both the front and rear parts broke... Would it be possible to strengten the mounting points as they are the only major weak points. And by that I mean the entire mounting area not only the small parts where the bolt goes through. Maybe it would also help to change the print orientation because then it no longer depends so much on layer adhesion alone...

Wow, must have been quite a crash to break both pieces! You could try a different print orientation but it would require supports. I will think about alternative designs, however the beauty of 3D printing is that you can print a new one if it breaks. Thank you for your feedback and pictures!

Actually, I printed this for my father and he just let go of his bike and it probably turned the handelbars and hit the ground – but it didn't fall far and the crash was at a very slow speed... It was also a modified version with a shorter back. I understand that it's not that easy to adjust the design but I added a picture where I marked the area that I would reinforce. Of course I will print it again but if I just print the same model the same thing could happen. If I could do it then I would do it myself but I can't adjust imported models in onshape...

Looks very nice, want to try it on my bike. I want to print it in PETG-CF and BambuStudio gives a warning to use supports which are not in the project. Can it be printed without supports ? Thx.

It can be printed without supports and will be functional. However there might be some visual sag at the top of the print depending on material and cooling, but will not affect the functionality.

Please note that PETG-CF may be more brittle and break more easily than PETG without fibers. I have not tried this print with PETG-CF so not sure it will be strong enough.

I did some pretty bump/rock heavy trails and it snapped near the top joint along the layers during a run. That's when I found out how well it was working before the break! I would not recommend for crazy rough stuff, but it survived everything else. Mud. Water. Sand. A longer front would be a nice option for those sand particles that tend to pop out.
