NFC Tag with Adhesive (20PCS) - XD002

Description

Cute Kawaii Kids back to school Backpack NFC tag for emergency contact information.
Load any Vcard or link to your NFC tag and attach it to luggage, backpacks or even your kid!

Includes two versions - with different backs. Easily change colors and personalize them however you like! AMS Required for multicolor prints.

You can personalize them on the pocket - Font used is “Kind Daily:”

Fits 25mm NFC tags - File has a pause at layer 13 to insert your tags.  I recommend vcard-go.com to set up your contact information and Seritag NFC Encoder App to load the info. (Both free!)

Seems dangerous. Couldn't someone scan the device then lie to my child and claim they know me and my phone number and claim I sent them to pick them up from school or something?

Being that you have to touch it to scan, I think if there is someone that motivated to take your child there’s probably already a problem. They would have to touch the tag with their phone to scan the info. You’re reaching for the one VERY unlikely instance where a tag wouldn’t help rather than the many where it would. If a stranger comes up and says to a young child “Your mom and dad had me come get you” that’s likely more effective than the stranger knowing your legal name. I’m not sure what scanning the tag would gain them. A parents information would be more helpful than harmful in 99.9% of situations. In the other tiny percent, there’s already a problem if you think scanning a chip will be the make or break for a bad individual. Wouldn’t you think?

not at all. I think it would be rather easy to scan while walking past in a mall or on the way to school or some other situation. An NFC doesn't take but .5 seconds to scan and may be done in passing. I assume it would have the parents contact information as having the child's name and number would be pointless. So it would be very easy to scan and then say, "Your dad john sent me to get you." we learned about this type of thing in the 90s while touring the police station as a kid. I doubt kids are still learning the whole "stranger danger" thing but one would sure hope so. i for one would not be putting my information so easily accessible on my child's bag and in the event of a true emergency who would even know to look at the kids bag to find emergency contact information on a NFC keychain. To me the risk outweighs any benefit and I hope other parents would at least be aware of the dangers.

It's cute! Was bigger than i expected and the words is a bit unreadable!/blurry at the back. Will try with more contrasting color if that helps. Otherwise, printed well.

Looks like it could be a color thing - mine usually print very clear. (X1C) I know I have some filament colors that tend to be wonky on color changes. :)

I absolutely adore it. Unfortunately I have no AMS printer and I couldn't find a way to change the colors since I have to change the whole file and modify the different heights =(
