D8x2 mm Round Magnet (20PCS) - CA005

Description

This is a case for the Injora Tool Set (model ToolLSD47) for 1/18th Scale RC Rock Crawlers.

It uses four 8x2mm neodymium magnets for the enclosure. I recommend using a small amount of super glue to keep them in place.

To connect the two halves together at the hinges, place the bottom half of the case upside-down on a hard surface. You'll notice a small channel on the insides of the hinges in the bottom half of the case that assists in pushing the hinges into place. Next, line up the upper half of the case, also upside-down, and insert one side of the ball/socket hinge. Push down on the other side, utilizing the channel to help guide the ball into its socket, until it snaps into place. This takes some effort but results in a solid hinge without any play. The hinging movement may be a little stiff at first, but it will loosen up in short time.

NOTE: The negavite spaces for the nut drivers are ordered from small to large. It is important to place them in the case in the right order, otherwise the lid will not close properly.

Note also that you may have to loosen the set screw that allows the shaft of each tool to be shortened/lengthened on each screw/nut driver to adjust the overall length of each tool to fit the case properly.

Great print, a bit tricky to assemble but sturdy. I changed the holes to fit 10mm magnets (cause that’s what I had on hand), added Injora text, switch colors, and added few stickers. Thanks for sharing!

My problem is that, after getting a 3d printer, I’m obsessively designing and printing cases for everything. I need to start adding labels to my case designs before I lose track of what’s inside which case and have to open 10 different ones before finding what I’m looking for!

Other Issues:Mid quality and the 2 pieces don’t match. Have to make a custom hinges with a drill holes and couple nails
