Description

Introducing the Rackberry Pi Cluster Case.

Bring datacenter vibes to your desktop with the RackBerry Pi a modular, vertical Raspberry Pi enclosure styled after a sleek server rack. Designed for tinkerers, coders, homelab enthusiasts, and retro gaming aficionados alike, this printable case turns your Pi collection into a neatly organized, hot-swappable tech tower.

The slide-in tray system allows for easy access to each Pi unit, making upgrades or maintenance simple and cable management clean. A removable front panel offers both style and function, hiding the inner hardware while maintaining that high-tech, server-inspired aesthetic. Whether you're running a Kubernetes cluster, experimenting with Home Assistant, or building your own arcade empire, the RackBerry Pi brings form and function together in a unique way.

This case features 4 sliding bays for installing your Pi boards and has enough space to use right angled type-c cables if you prefer to use those over PoE, the left hand side has enough internal space for installing a 120x25mm fan with space for routing the power cable out the back of the case, this case does NOT provide enough space for connecting video cables to the side of the pi and is mainly designed for you to remote in to using SSH, however you can always use a modifier to remove the middle of the right hand vent panel if you which to have easy access to that I/O

This model does require some extra components and does not require any glue unless you want to make it a permanent assembly

  • 4x m3*12 pan head screws for the front panels
  • 4x m3*8 pan head screws for the rear panels
  • 16x m2.5 screws for attaching the pi's to the carriers
  • 1x 120x25mm fan for the left panel (the fan i used was the upHere 120mm USB fan although any fan with those dimensions should work)
  • 4x right angle power cables

Assembly can be a little bit fiddly:

Start with the 4 racks and the front and rear brackets, then install the fan in the right hand panel and slide that on to the right side of the brackets, the front of the racks have the grooves cut out of them for the carriers to insert.

If you're using type-c power cables you will want to first screw the pi's to the carriers and slide them in to the racks, connect the power cables and then route the cables out the rear of the right hand vent panel and then slide that panel in to place.

Slide the top panel in to place, you can then secure the rear panels using the 4 m3*8 screws, slide the front bezel in to place and then secure that to the front of the case using the 4 m3*12 screws, drop the front door in to place and place the label placeholder in to the front to the left of the door.

There is enough space on the white panel on the front to print some text or you can just use it with some sticky labels to keep track of which pi does what.

This case was modelled up in fusion 360 and was mostly just a learning experience as i saw some people offering little pi cluster cases and wanted to offer additional options for people who might be looking for something with a little more style, i went with Black, White and Grey for the colours but you could do anything you wanted, none of the parts are painted and the door is just a simple colour change at the right layer.
