Maxi Cosi Car Seat Cup Holder

Hello dear parents,

you probably know one of the best child seats from Maxi Cosi. There's just one problem. No cup holder. Constantly reaching back to give the child the cup because it can't be stored anywhere within reach. But since Dad couldn't let that happen, he did something about it. He went to the PC and designed it. Measured, checked angles, took the largest cup diameter, and typed away.

This is what came out.

The dimensions for the largest cup diameter are 77mm, height 96mm, and the groove 3mm.

The tab is deliberately printed on its side. This maximizes the load-bearing capacity from above.

After printing, first remove the supports. These are a bit firmly attached to the part, but if someone knows a setting or two to prevent this, feel free to try it. But in the end, a few scratches don't matter, as they will no longer be visible after mounting on the seat.

Here you can see that I didn't consider aesthetics relevant for now. However, the ribs you see here prevent it from slipping once mounted on the seat.

Next, apply superglue to the points

and then mount it into the designated groove

Then put it in the car and clamp it in place, it works on both the left and right sides of the seat!

Now enjoy a (slightly) more relaxed ride again.
