Tu-160 assembly version, movable wings

The Tu-160 bomber (Russian: Ту-160, English: Tu-160, project number 70, Uзделие «70», NATO reporting name: Blackjack, translated: Blackjack, also known as: Tupolev Tu-160), is a supersonic variable-sweep wing long-range strategic bomber of the Soviet/Russian Air Force.
The Tu-160 bomber's operational methods primarily involve high-altitude subsonic cruise, low-altitude subsonic, or high-altitude supersonic raids. At high altitudes, it can launch long-range cruise missiles outside the enemy's air defense network; when undertaking air defense suppression missions, it can launch short-range missiles. Additionally, it can conduct low-altitude raids, using nuclear bombs or launching missiles to attack important targets [1].
The Tu-160 bomber was developed by the SovietTupolev Design Bureau (Туполев or Tupolev, now the United Aircraft Corporation of Russia). It entered service in May 1987, achieving initial operational capability in 1988. Its elegant design and the Russian Air Force's white paint scheme have earned it the moniker “White Swan” [1].
