Description
Reducer for IBC containers with S60x6 thread.
Following the first project, I'm proposing a second similar part, but for 1/2" threads.
This part allows you to connect directly to an IBC tank with an S60x6 threaded valve using a 1/2" fitting.
With this, you can have fun connecting faucets and various fittings with a 1/2" male thread.
As with the previous project, be careful not to print it in PLA if you leave it exposed; in this case, print it in PETG (as I did) or, better yet, in ABS or ASA.
This model, like the previous one, is designed to have minimal friction on the thread, so it doesn't seal against it, therefore requiring a gasket.
The gasket must have an external diameter of 55 mm, an internal diameter of 44 mm, and a thickness (height) of 5 mm. This can be printed in TPU or made from a sheet of soft polyurethane or silicone, 4 to 6 mm thick.
I'm also including the project for the version printed in TPU, but even though I'm a fan of 3D printing, I recommend the one made from printed or extruded sheet.
As a recommendation, for good printing results, I recommend drying the material, cleaning the build plate, and then printing. Leveling.
Happy printing, everyone.
Looking forward to your comments.
