Insulin and Glucose Function Model

I created this model for my 10th-grade biology class at the grammar school. The sphere represents a body cell, the rods are insulin, and the hexagons are glucose. An elastic band is also required.

After an introduction to the topic of diabetes, I tasked my students with demonstrating the uptake of glucose into the cell in type 1, type 2 diabetes, and without diabetes using the model.

I had a suggestion for improvement but haven't had time to implement it yet. Around the insulin entry point, one could raise an edge to prevent students from getting the impression that insulin enters the cell's interior. Additionally, one could incorporate holes for the magnets.
