Description

šŸŽ¾Take the good vibration to the next level with Damp’it’up v2 – the upgraded customizable tennis racket dampener! šŸŽ¾

Ideal as šŸŽ gift or give-away for every tennis fan or event!

šŸ“ø This new version brings the same flexible TPU-friendly design, but now with:

  • 🧠 Hybrid emoji selector: type your own or pick from a curated list (šŸ’©šŸ”„šŸ˜ŽšŸŽ¾ etc.)
  • šŸ”¤ Improved text handling: no more overflow or engraving issues
  • šŸ’Ŗ Optional bolding offset to make your text/emoji stand out in any match
  • āŒ Removed experimental bevelling , which drastically increased processing time. It's still available in v1 if you want it.

Still optimized for vertical TPU printing and ready to keep your strings chill and your style personal.

šŸ›  Features

  • āš™ļø Fully parametric: size, shape, engraving, gap, bevel, and more
  • šŸ’¬ Add your own initials (tested to 5 characters)
  • šŸ˜Ž Engrave any emoji – type it or pick from dropdown
  • 🧵 Fits neatly between two vertical strings (customizable)
  • 🧽 Prints vertically , flat bottom improves TPU bed adhesion (can be reduced)

šŸš€ Share some good vibration

Thanks PlasmaDrone for the first rating on this design, and happy it's a 5-stars! :-D Always great to get a picture as well , much appreciated! By the way, the anti-vibrator should ideally be fitted 1 "row" lower on your racket, so you avoid hitting the ball with it ;-)

I love it and truly appreciate your work, but on a Mac, I cannot change the emoji. I can change the Text but not the other side (emoji side)

Hi, thanks for your kind feedback! I'm surprised by your comment, as I work myself on a Mac, and the Parametric designs don't really care about your OS... Have you tried the drop-down Emoji selector? You can also use the custom emoji field, on your mouse Mac "right click" would make you appear "Emoji & Symbols" menu where you can select (a more limited choice of) emojis. Curious about your further feedback, good luck!

Well even using the default emojis (or in other words not selecting any emoji and pick one from the list), the back sides shows a rectangle but no emoji. I included what I see from my side (Openscad 2021.1) and Sequoia OS.

Hi, customization is done in the online MakerWorld Customization tool, as per earlier screenshot. Here's another one how you access that. Once customized (in the MW tool you'll see the chosen Emoji), you download in .3mf or .stl format, and can slice that in Bambu Studio ;-). Surely, it's coded in OpenSCAD language, but I didn't use Openscad for that, only the MW Parametric editor.

Works well and super easy to customize and print, I stopped using it after a game because even though it was tpu it still felt too hard and seemed to kind of lag after I hit a ball.

Thanks, maybe a softer grade (90A for instance) would be better then? In my case 95A worked out OK, but it's indeed a bit stiffer than a shop-bought one.

Hi, detach from what? From your racket, for sure, you can put it on & remove it like a regular dampener.

can i print it with PLA?

Technically you could, but it would be absolutely useless to damp anything šŸ˜ Mind, if you buy TPU, it very rapidly absorbs humidity from environment and needs drying to use later. Good luck!
