🎨 Color Recommendation for Best Effect

For maximum attraction to bees, the following colors are recommended for 3D printing:

• Bee watering station (rain protection):

  Use RAL 1026 (bright yellow) – this UV-active neon color is perceived particularly well by bees. Alternatively, RAL 1023 (traffic yellow) or RAL 5003 (sapphire blue) is also suitable as a contrasting color.

• Use for bee watering station (blossom center / water source):

  Print this area in RAL 9003 (signal white) or RAL 1013 (pearl white) – bright and reflective, ideal for water detection and heat reduction.

Please do not use red or black – these colors are hardly perceived by bees and tend to have a deterrent effect.

🐌 Tip: Attracting Snails – But the Right Way

To properly attract snails to the lower area of your bee watering station, you can use snail bait based on metaldehyde in the lower area.

➡️ This is more effective than iron(III) phosphate and attracts snails significantly better, so that they migrate specifically to the bait.

Please ensure proper application and safe placement, especially if pets have access to the garden.
