Description

As I continued designing furniture, I realized that a single 16x16cm base plate was quite limiting in terms of layout and creativity. I also felt it would be better to separate commonly used shared spaces into their own layouts, so I’ve decided to split them into separate files.

In effect, this miniature space—now in version 3.0 (it jumped from 2.0 during the development process)—offers the following features:

  • A standard display area measuring 16 x 16 x 15 cm.
  • You can connect multiple spaces together to expand the area. Arrange and customize them freely!
  • The floor plate is replaceable. You can even create your own custom shapes using Blender’s Boolean functions.
  • There are also easy assembly drawings for those who don't want to assemble the stage or want a better bond (in this case, the wall plugs will not be available).

Going forward, I plan to design miniature furniture based on this modular space format.
Compared to real-life interior construction, printing this room may take less time, but it still requires patience. I recommend preparing in advance if you plan to use it.

I am curious, what is the purpose of the separate "cap" square in the center of the stage/floor? I think the design looks very sturdy, and customizable.

I said that the purpose of this stage is to display 12cm figures, but if you look more clearly, the purpose is a diorama for 'Nendoroid'. Most Nendoroids come with a standard stand, which is 60x60x6.5mm. It's the size that fits exactly into the hole. However, you may want to display other figures that are 10~12cm tall, or you may not need a stand to display anything. In that case, the hole in the middle can be in the way, so you can block it with a 'Cap' to have flexibility in the display. Since there are some friends that do not have standard stands, I'm thinking about using the center CAP as a stand instead.

I see now. I am only a little familiar with neodoroids, as in I know what they are and what they look like, but know nothing about the stands. We have mini dolls the same size (they wear nendoroid clothes and shoes), so I was looking at your diorama for them. Thanks for the info!
