Description

Description

In recent weeks I've been getting annoyed by people blocking our driveway for several minutes on end while waiting for people to pick up to pop into a near-by house. Therefore, I decided to make a simple, clean, and clear sign to remind people not to be bad neighbors. If it works or not is yet to be seen, but I like how it turned out!

Notes

Screw Holes

The screw holes are 5mm wide to accommodate the wood screws I have from Home Depot. If you need a different hole size, feel free to request and I can adjust the hole size pretty easily.

Printing with no AMS

This can pretty easily be printed without AMS because the text is raised off the sign. If needed, I can set it up but I do all my printing with AMS so it's not my default.

Material

I printed the sign in PLA because I have the colors I prefer there and a more matte finish. In practice, I would bet this holds up better when using PETG. If it melts or breaks, I'll update here.

Attribution

The font used for this sign is “Highway Gothic FHWA Series E 2024” which I found here and is labeled as public domain. It's a nice blocky font so bookmark it for your next highway text related project!
