Description

This model is a customisable generator for modular ramps for radio controlled cars (aka RC cars). You can specify a number of parameters to specify a wide variety of aspects including the size, wall thickness, the number of inner support struts, and the number and size of multi-ramp connectors.

Multiple ramps can be locked together using a series of small locking connectors on the base and the rear of the ramp allowing you to build wider ramps. In addition connectors with holes for connector pins can be used to secure your ramp from shifting if you are using your ramp on soft ground.

Each ramp also includes a rounded entry to make the lip of the ramp stronger than a thin, flat entry, but at the same time allow for a smooth entrance onto the ramp by the car.

Notes on Connector Tolerances

The parametric model, and the 3MF file both contain options for Connector Blocks. These cubes are simply to allow you to test the tolerance of your printer for the connectors and the value of the Lock Tolerance setting in the parametric model. By printing the small connector blocks you can find out the best tolerance for your printer so that your connectors can fit snugly into your ramps.
