Description

FRC #2984 uses this rotary encoder to control the angle that the robot points to (instead of a clumsy joystick).  The problem is that the encoder has such great bearings, that it will spin for seconds if you push it.  So this model adds 2 springs underneath the top acrylic plate to add enough friction that it won't spin without constantly pushing it.

You will need to get the rotary encoder. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZ4V1XP

The flange mount https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R77ZGNN

The encoder finger wheel plate https://makerworld.com/en/models/1605249-encoder-finger-wheel

A USB Joystick board that can communicate with FRC joystick and the encoder is here: https://github.com/nealpalmer/UsbJoy
