Description

Enclosure/electrical box for common cheap-o solar charge controller.

The box fits the controller, place for optional 4010 fan(s) (on both sides) and 3 inlets for wires (fit for 20mm diameter wire hose).

Box has ventilation holes on both sides. The slits were designed to block sprinkling water ingress.

The lid is fixed with 4pcs of M5x20 screws and M5 nuts (I use winged nuts for tool-less access to program/check). The lips of the box were designed to reduce water trickling in.

The charge controller can be fixed with M3 screws (threads are not modeled - use of thread cutter or preparation with heated bolt needed).

The wire inlets have 20mm diameter. Prepared to fit the D20 wire hose - the nuts (screws) with the inserts fix them tight in place.

The wall thickness is optimized for 0.6mm nozzle.

I printed from PETG.

Disclaimer: Common 3D printing materials don't contain any flame suppressing additives, the usage for electrical application are not recommended. Use on your own risk!
Don't forget to use fuses in your application!
The box is not free of water due the nature of it's design! Humidity→condensation will still be present inside! Use common sense for any application!
