Description
I decided to make another around a light switch plate design like my Butterfly Wing design, this time with bat wings! This type of cover is nice because it does not replace the existing cover. Instead it sits on top of it/goes partially around it. It has a little tab in the inside top that slots behind the existing cover to hold it in place. Just loosen your screws a little, slide on the plate, and tighten the screws back up!
This is a AI design generated from Craiyon.com. I did some more edits to the design and distorted it to fit my needs. Then I used Hueforge to generate the STL file and then did edits in the Bambu Slicer to make it into the around the switch cover design!
It only needs 4 colors though you can do any color as your “base”. In my example I did the bottom color as my base, but I also have a plate where the base is a different color so you could make it match your switch plate like white.
Color Changes:
Start with base color (I used black, but you could use white)
Layer 23 switch to Black
Layer 31 switch to Dark Grey SUNLU Matte
Layer 34 switch to Light Grey OVERTURE
Layer 39 switch to White Matterhackers
Works well with my 3D printed light switch plate/cover. You don't even need the tab for it to get it to sit on these ones but it will help it stay on.
