Description

Here is a serrated edge blade instead of the tanto style. I originally posted this as a part of the set of butterfly knife utensils and decided that it needs it's own post to showcase it. This is by far my favorite one of all the butterfly knife designs I've done.

This butterfly knife is special. It needs no supports, can be printed with whatever infill type and percent desirable, and it comes off the print bed ready to be flung around in order to master any trick quickly with a very low risk of getting injured. It fits in the pocket nicely for travel due to the nicely rounded edges so practice can be done anywhere at any time convenient.

Print it standing up on the hinge end, I know it doesn't feel right but it was the way it was designed. If printed laying on it's side it will most likely not print very well or function correctly. There is a photo in the post of the proper printing orientation.

The original set of butterfly knives were a request from someone. I continued with the idea…

If you're looking for the Trainer, Tanto, Spork, Spoon, Fork… they're all on my page here so feel free to browse.

If you're interested in seeing a video showing some background to the design of the original tantos, see below.

Thanks for checking it out!
