Description

I wasn't real keen on purchasing a tripod mount for each of the items I wanted to mount; lights, flashes, platforms, diffusers, etc.  I took some design consideration on this one, as no one wants their equipment to fall off!  There are also slots on both sides to allow for 180 degree rotation.  The center boss of the bracket sticks up 0.0945"/2.4mm into the dovetail to make sure the print doesn't delaminate due to small cross sectional area and fall off the tripod.  I DON'T RECOMMEND YOU PUT YOUR $2k CAMERA ON THIS MOUNT!  (But I've done it. And I didn't die, neither did my camera. I warned you though.)

Technical Stuff:

The mounting hole is 0.250"/6.35mm wide and has 0.4375"/11mm of lateral movement to allow for balancing.

The maximum height of the bolt head is 0.280"/7mm to clear and slide smoothly over the mount.

The shoulder on the inside of hole is 0.140"/3.5mm thick.  You'll need to measure how deep the threads are on your attachment and add them to the shoulder measurement (minus ~0.0625"/1.5mm for clearance) to make sure the bolt does not bottom out.
