Description
I wanted a direct drive on my Creality CR-10v2 printer and didn't like the mounts I found on Thingiverse and other sites. I designed this mount using Fusion360 and printed in ABS, although I'm sure PLA would work fine. I simply used the stock stepping motor to create a low cost direct drive conversion. Since the CR-10 is a huge bed slinger, adding weight to the x-axis sled basically has no performance impact. So far, I've noticed no stringing and I was able to reduce the retraction distance from 5mm to 0.6mm. I did buy a new cable for the stepper motor since the stock wiring is too short.
