Sony FX30 + FX3 Screen Protector - The Super Safe

This was created with the idea of keeping your camera screen safe while attached to your custom camera rig.

The original idea was to give the more “run and gun” type filmmaker some extra peace of mind knowing that their costly piece of equipment is tucked away safely on the padded foam inserts of the screen protector while maintaining three points of contact and still maintaining full accessibility to the touch features of the FX30 and FX3.

This is offered in a variety of different mounting solutions, as well as two different screen protector types:

Mounting type - Number - Application

(MB 1) V-Mount Battery plate mount - This Mount was designed for use with a wide variety of v-mount battery plates including folding or tilting v-mount battery plates this mounts to the back side of the battery plate via ¼-20 screws

(MB 2) Dual 15mm Rod Clamp mount - This mount was designed for users who may not have a v-mount battery plate or like to keep their v-mount further behind the camera, it slides into place and tightened down with M5x10mm screws

(MB 3) Standard V-Mount Battery plate mount - designed for anyone who might use a standard v-mount battery plate with 15mm rod clamps (none tilting or folding) connected to the plate via through holes on the battery plate using M5x10mm screws

(MB 4) Cheese plate L-Mounting bracket - Designed in mind for those who may have a fusion rig setup but want that extra security of keeping their screen safe, attached to any and all cheese plates via the ¼-20 sliding through hole

Screen Protector - Number - Application
(SP 1-1) Screen Protector with battery release cutout - This is the standard screen protector and will fit most rig setups

(SP 1-2) Screen Protector without battery release cutout - This was designed for use with the Cheese plate L-Mounting bracket, but can be used in other situations

Materials needed

-M5x10MM Button head screws
-M5 Standard length Heatset Inserts
-1mm Thick EVA foam sheet

I highly recommend printed out of PETG or ABS or at the very least PLA+ the camera screen can get hot and warp Standard PLA
