This is a custom-designed storage box that securely mounts on top of a Milwaukee Packout case using the system’s native anchor points. It adds additional modular storage without compromising the stackability or locking functionality of the original Packout system.

The design feature is the use of these two springs.


 The latch is driven by these two 3D-printed springs, and testing has shown good performance.

 

🧰 Features:

  • 100% compatible with Milwaukee Packout top anchors
  • 🔒 Retractable latch system, modeled after the original Packout locks
  • 🔩 Internal spring mechanism secured with standard 3mm screws
  • 🧲 Snaps on and locks like OEM parts, using the built-in anchor geometry
  • 🧱 Sturdy and spacious inner box with a hinged lid
  • 🧵 Total filament used: ~400g

📦 Use Case:

I ran out of space in my Packout system, so I designed this additional box to expand upward without breaking the modular logic. It’s perfect for small tools, screws, drill bits, or accessories you need to keep close at hand.

🔧 Divider Version Info:

I’ve also designed a separate internal tray/divider system that fits snugly inside the main box. These dividers can be customized depending on the layout you need—whether you want 2, 3, or 4 compartments, or even grid-style separators.

🖨️ Printing Tips:

  • Material: PETG or ABS recommended for outdoor/toolbox use
  • Infill: use my 
  • Layer height: 0.2mm or finer for better fit
  • Supports: Required for latches and overhangs
  • Screws: 3mm x 18-25mm or similar for spring housing

At the request of my dear fans, today I designed and uploaded a case for the Milwaukee laser level. I also reinforced the hinge design and added a stackable feature.
