Description
This is a fully 3D-printable version of Lines of Action, a classic abstract strategy game originally designed by Claude Soucie. The model includes a 8x8 board and dual-color pieces that offer a clean and modern aesthetic.
The print is fully compatible with Bambu Lab AMS for an easy two-color setup, but AMS is not required—you can simply pause the print at the color change and switch filaments manually.
🖨️ Designed to print support-free and with clean tolerances, the game includes just two printable components: the board and the pieces.
🎯 Goal
In Lines of Action (LOA), the aim is to be the first to connect all your pieces into one single group. A group is considered connected if all pieces are linked through adjacent squares—horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
♟️ Setup
Each player has 12 pieces (black or white). Black’s pieces go along the left and right edges, while white’s go along the top and bottom—excluding the corners.
🔄 How to Move
On your turn, move one piece in any direction (straight or diagonal). The distance you move must equal the total number of pieces (yours and your opponent’s) on that line. You can jump over your own pieces but not over opponents. Landing on an opponent’s piece captures it.
🏆 Winning
The first player to connect all their pieces into one continuous group wins. If both players connect on the same turn, it’s a draw.
