Description

I needed to test some fuzzy skin patterns and while doing so, i found only smaller collections of presliced variation. But i wanted a broader spectrum for comparision, so i decided to make my own version.

The file includes 90 presliced variations (compatible with Prusa Slicer, Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer) ranging from 0,2 mm skin point distance and 0,3 mm skin thickness up to 1,5 / 0,6 mm

The blocks are 25x10 mm and 20 mm high - a 45° chamfer and 2 fillets (inside and outside radius) are added - outside angles are 45°, 90° and a composite 180° (2x90°) - since some of patterns with higher values for skin point distance look a bit wonky at the corners and i needed to test this aswell

the file contains 180 pieces: 90 test blocks and 90 modifiers to block the generation of fuzzy skin on the top surface where the text is embossed

The Storage Trays (with different sizes) might also be useful.

Printing (Caution!)

i highly recommend using a compatible slicer, since applying all the values in the settings tables is a bit time consuming ;)

it does not use much filament, but fuzzy skin is way slower than just linear walls, so the whole package in PLA takes about 12,5 hours to print (Bambu Lab P1S for reference) - but due to the nature of the rougher patterns (especially with skin thickness of 0.5 mm and above) the outer wall intersects heavily with the inner wall, so the parts recieve some stress which may knock them off the build plate

just print them partially and batches and simply deleted the not needed bodies from the object list or just print what you need anyways

there are intentionally no print profiles on makerworld since slicing can't be completed due to a timeout error when creating complex profies
