Description

The Sword of the Witch-King of Angmar

This a remix of a set of different projects with a number of fixes to get the whole thing to print out a little better. The parts have been lined up on individual build plates with settings and supports manually set for each piece. You can print the Guard piece at a higher resolution to get more detail out of the inlay.

Changes made:

All parts now have a 6mm shaft cut in to them, including the handle.
The guard has been flattened slightly to help the slicer
The blade sections have been aligned so that the seams run down the back instead of the blade edge, this helps prevent the thin sections lifting during the print

Overall Great design! Thank you! I used PLA MATTE ( ERYONE - ARMY GREEN) Its too weak and wobbly. I recommend using sturdier material. down sized to 80%. 😁

did you add a steel rod and it was still flimsy ?

yes, it is flimsy on the wide part, But I think its due to the material of the print I used and the rod material. I added, 3mm radius 1m length., (it's stainless steel) but due to its very thin, it still wobbles a bit.

The print is fantastic! I actually wanted to paint it, but that worked only so-so. I also got longer screws from the hardware store as a center piece. Many thanks for the print
