Standard pool vacuums proved inadequate due to their size and wide openings resulting in insufficient suction. I required a compact, low-profile cleaner with stronger suction to effectively collect small debris and, crucially, sediment from the pool bottom, which would also pass through the filtration system (sediment removal is conducted with the filtration set to waste). I therefore designed a model just 4 mm above the pool floor, thus ensuring effective suction. Its triangular shape allows for convenient cleaning even in pool corners or round pools. Rounded feet facilitate smooth movement across the pool bottom.

The cleaner attaches to a standard 1.25" (30 mm) diameter pool pole via a bracket and connects to the filtration system using a 1.25" or 1.5" (32 or 38 mm) diameter hose.

Printing:

Given the strength required, I recommend printing with PETG, using at least 4 perimeters, and the safety spring and pin with 10 perimeters. I printed everything with 10 perimeters and a 0.2 mm layer height. For increased strength, printing the handle and safety spring flat is preferable.
