Description

Base plate for the plunge base of various Makita routers for making MatchFit grooves aka Dovetail tracks. Should be compatible with the DRT50 as well as all variations of RT70XX routers, maybe more. I included a picture of the most important screw locations so you can check your model.

It is meant to replace the black glide plate on the plunge base so remove that and then screw this template back to it. Create the first dovetail grove manually, then continue with this jig. You can alternate between relieve cuts and dovetail cuts or just go straight for the dovetail if you're feeling impatient I guess.

I have included a handle that is meant to be screwed with 3 M4 screws via 3 heat inserts (M4x8x6) into the base, but you can totally get away with just using some washers and nuts. Or don't use the handle at all, it is not really necessary just slightly more convenient.

I recommend using https://makerworld.com/en/models/1297311-matchfit-setup-gauge#profileId-1635094 to measure the correct depth of the dovetail tracks.

Fits on an A1 Mini.

Based originally on interactive3's design on Printables.
