🎮 Mini Memory Game – Arduino-Powered Challenge!
Hi! I’m a 15-year-old maker and this is my first project that uses coding and I’m super excited to finally share it with the you!
This is a fully open-source mini memory game console, powered by an Arduino Uno R3. It’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, and can be powered by a 9V battery so you can take it anywhere. This project is fun to play, but also a serious challenge to build. The internal layout is highly compact, and some parts must be printed with a 0.2mm nozzle or they will not print correctly.
Wiring is extremely tight, so you’ll need serious focus and patience during assembly.
🔁 How the Game Works:
The game lights up a sequence of colors using LEDs, and you have to repeat the pattern using the matching buttons. It starts easy but gets harder the longer you play! It also features sound effects and light animations for the full effect of a retro arcade console!
There are three difficulty levels, Easy, Medium, and Hard! Each changing the speed and timing.
🔁 Reprograming the console:
The game console ca be reprogrammed using Arduino IDE software on a computer. A few examples of games you can create are of course a color memory game, whack a mole, reaction time tester, rhythm game (like a mini DDR), as well as educational games such as Morse code training. The console can also be linked to a computer to utilize what a computer has to offer such as making videogames with screens and using the game console as a controller. You can let your imagination run wild and create anything with this portable game console. Have fun!!!

🧠 Key Features:
- 3 difficulty levels (with LED indicators)
- Cool sound effects via buzzer
- Open source so you can reprogram it for other games
- Compact, portable, and battery powered
🛠️ Build Details:
This is a very complex and detailed design, so it’s best suited for experienced builders or those up for a serious challenge!
- Some parts require printing with a 0.2mm nozzle otherwise they won’t fit correctly.
- A few parts also need supports, which you’ll have to carefully remove after printing.
- The wiring is extremely tight, so it takes focus and precision to put together cleanly.
🔩 What You’ll Need:
- 1x Arduino Uno R3
- 8x small push buttons
- 7x 3mm LED lights
- 7x 220Ω resistors
- 1x 3V 3mm buzzer
- 2 meters of 0.5mm wire
- Model glue
- Optional: 9V battery and connector
🖨️ Printing Info:
- Print time: ~4.5 hours
- Filament: ~70g
- Requires 0.2mm nozzle for precision on some plates
- Some parts use supports (remove after printing)
