Hello Geocachers,

I wanted to hide a special container again. The theme of my cache is spider, so the box should also be a spider.

I found what I was looking for on Thingiverse and simply converted a normal spider into a magnetic cache.

I made a cylindrical hole in the abdomen where a micro logbook fits into a zip-lock bag for protection from the weather.

I built up the prosoma so that a magnet can rest on the surface. A 6x3 or 6x2 magnet fits into the base

Dimensions:

74x64x25 cm
You can also scale it, but keep in mind that the openings will become larger or smaller as a result.

The spider looks really realistic and cool.

It needs supports for printing and you must be very careful when removing the supports. I printed in PLA Wood and these were relatively easy to remove. Take your time and concentrate, be careful otherwise the spider's legs will break easily and you may have to glue them.

I recommend increasing the infill to 100% to give more stability to the legs.

Have fun hiding it
