openGrid - Framefit Hook Generator

2026-01-21 Update: Added an optional bottom truss for hooks that need to hold a lot of weight. These hooks can be printed without supports, but you can choose to enable them if you are using a filament that's bad at bridging. Thanks to @agentharm for the idea!

2025-09-14 Update: Added diagonal hooks. Revamped the design. 

An open source hook generator for openGrid (Standard/Lite). The length, height, width, tip angle, corner fillet, and clearance of the hook are all customizable. The hook attachs to the frame of the openGrid board, hence the name.

The definition of a hook is flexible.

Print setting: 3 walls or above.

The design is inspired by David D's openGrid - Minimal Hook.
To create the snap shape in .scad, a modified opengrid is used as the negative part. The codes are based on BlackjackDuck's openGrid - Tile Generator.

The model is open-source under the CC-BY-SA license. Like all the OpenSCAD models I've designed for openGrid, it can be found in this GitHub repository. Feel free to use the code; feedback and suggestions are welcome.
