The Ford GT Mk IV is the ultimate evolution of the legendary Ford GT40.

As the ultimate track-only version of the third-generation Ford GT, it is limited to 67 units worldwide, honoring the 1967 Le Mans champion.
Its carbon fiber long-tail body, aggressive aerodynamic package, and extended wheelbase enhance high-speed stability. It is equipped with an upgraded 3.8-liter EcoBoost V6 engine producing over 800 horsepower, mated to a racing-specific Xtrac six-speed transmission and adaptive spool-valve suspension.

FDM Printing Settings

- The actual model was printed using an A1 mini with a 0.4mm nozzle, 0.12mm layer height, and official PLA. Using equipment, parameters, and filament with higher specifications will yield better results (assembly may be too tight or too loose; this can be compensated by adjusting the XY contour dimensions of the assembly, or by using sanding tools and 409 glue for processing and connection).
- Infill density: 15%. To increase the model's weight, the infill density can be adjusted to 100%
- Supports: A combination of normal and tree supports was used.

Support Removal Instructions

- The model is small, and supports have been added at critical points. Removing supports requires the use of sprue cutters and tweezers. Breaking them off by hand will likely cause structural breakage, especially for the rearview mirrors and rear wing.

- Tip: To ensure successful removal from multi-color models and avoid breakage, you can first print a single-color model for removal to understand the model and support structure, then remove supports from the multi-color model (if breakage occurs, 409 glue can be used for connection).

 

Monochrome Painting Reference (Printed with White Filament)

- Sanding: (Optional) Sand in 400-600-800 grit order.

- Painting: Paint with acrylic colors using a brush (for issues with layer lines bleeding at edges, apply the main color over a large area first, then paint the edges).

Assembly Instructions
