Mig-23M fighter jet
Print Profile(1)

Description
The MiG-23 is a Soviet variable-sweep wing fighter developed in the 1960s as a successor to the MiG-21, designed to improve speed, range, and weapon capacity. It was one of the first Soviet jets to feature a look-down/shoot-down radar and beyond-visual-range missiles, making it a more capable interceptor and multirole aircraft. Its swing-wing design allowed for both high-speed performance and better low-speed handling. Although it had mixed success in combat and was considered less agile than Western fighters, it was widely exported and served in many air forces during the Cold War.
