Description

What Does This Do?

These are designed to HELP in removing outlane posts from Stern Pinball tables. Useful for operators preparing for Tournaments or anyone wanting to move the position of the outlane posts.

Technically the post can be pushed out (and pushed in) rather than unscrewed but unless they have been removed and replaced a few times this can be awkward and might even damage the finish on the table.

The tool will allow you to easily unscrew the post from the hole (and nut) and speed up the re-insertion without having to lift the table (just hold the nut firm with a spanner or socket.)

NOTE: Make sure you don’t use it for the final tightening because it is just plastic. You will still need a ¼” and a 3/8” spanner to loosen and do the final tighten.

Printing:

I used a 0.4mm nozzle and Bambu Basic PLA.

You MAY need to compensate for hole shrinkage. In Bambu slicer this can be setup under the quality tab and “X-Y hole compensation”. In my case, with PLA and an H2D printer I have this set to 0.25mm. This allows for the fact that with PLA Basic the printer reduces the hole diameter by 0.5mm (approx.). This value varies between printers, slicers AND material type.

Support is required underneath the print for the two inner circle surfaces.  The part could be printed upside down if you don’t mind some aesthetic artifacts 😊

Given the use I used a sparse infill density of 40%.

The included 3MF file is setup with:

X-Y Hole compensation – 0.25

40% Sparse Infill

Manual supports

Final Note:

There are two models – The larger one is easier to use. So just print that one 😊
