The Ultimate Filament Strength Benchmark
Print Profile(1)

Description
This print is designed to visually and physically demonstrate the relative strength of various FDM materials by applying bending stress to a thin vertical arm.
Each piece is labelled with the corresponding material name, showing how different filaments respond to mechanical stress in the same geometry and print orientation.
The model prints flat with the "STRONG" side along the X/Y plane and the "WEAK" arm printed vertically (Z direction) to best illustrate interlayer adhesion weakness — often the Achilles' heel of FDM printing.
Ideal for:
- Displaying at makerspaces or filament shops
- Teaching material properties
- Personal testing across your filament inventory
Printing Tips:
- Use strong print settings for better test results
- Print with orientation as provided in the STL (base flat)
- No supports required
Included:
- STEP file for easy editing (Full Assembly.step)
- Pre-labelled models for PLA, PLA+, PETG, PETG-CF, ABS, ABS-GF, ASA, PA6-GF, HIPS, TPU, TPE83A
