Description

This is a standard 40mm ping pong ball designed for 3D printing with 0% infill, replicating the light, hollow structure of a real table tennis ball. The model is fully enclosed with no vent hole, making it ideal for lightweight experiments and casual bouncing.

Specifications:

  • Diameter: 40mm
  • Wall Thickness: Optimized for FDM 3D printing
  • Infill: 0% (hollow)
  • Material: PLA or other lightweight filament recommended
  • Print Orientation: Top/bottom seam optional
  • Supports: Not required, but optional support under the base is recommended for added bed adhesion

⚠️ Note: While this model closely mimics the size and shape of a real ping pong ball, performance may vary due to print material and technique. Under the right conditions, it can bounce nearly as high as a real ball.

Printing Tips:

  • Infill: Set to 0%
  • Supports: Optional, but recommend enabling support at the bottom to prevent detachment during printing
  • Adhesion: Use a brim or raft if necessary to improve bed adhesion
