NES Vertical Cartridge Holder - Customizable v2.0
Print Profile(3)

Description
This is version 2.0 of my completely customizable NES cartridge holder. This organizer stores your cartridges vertically to help you save space. Designs are available for the H2D, A1/P1/X1, and A1 Mini so that everyone can print it, and it can be printed to any height. Plus, it allows you to store the cartridges either with or without the sleeves that the games originally came in. In fact, the shape of the organizer resembles a NES cartridge sleeve itself, just a bit looser and shorter. Please note, the holder is designed to cover only the sleeves, if inserting games without sleeves, there is a risk that it could scratch the stickers, I recommend printing the original NES Vertical Cartridge Holder - Customizable model if you don't have sleeves. The holders are also printed at a slight incline to prevent the games from falling out.
For adjusting the height, it's simple. Depending on the size of your printer, the first 13 (H2D), 10 (A1/P1/X1), or 7 (A1 Mini) plates feature “bottom” models of varying heights that are designed to hold between 1-13 games. The first thing you want to do is to print one of these “bottoms” at your desired height. After that, susequent plates feature “top” models, which are also designed to hold between 1-13 games. These “tops” are designed to be glued on top of a “bottom” or on top of another “top”. So if you want a 16 game organizer it's simple, print a 13 cartridge bottom and a 3 cartridge top on a H2D, or print a 7 cartridge bottom, 7 cartridge top, and 2 cartridge top on a A1 Mini, then glue together. Or if you pick up a new game in the future, you can easily print a 1 cartridge top to add to your existing organizer. I've provided the heights of each “bottom” model in the plate's name, always rounding up to the nearest 1/8th of an inch so that you can be sure that what you print will fit in the space you intend to put it. The “top” models are only 3mm shorter than they're corresponding “bottom” model, so they are basically the same height.
The bottoms do feature 2 colors as you have the gray organizer with a red Nintendo logo on top. If you don't have an AMS, you can easily insert a pause here so that you can swap out the filament, or you can simply remove the color change and print it in one solid color.
Improvements over the original model:
- Deeper slots means better support for your cartridges and sleeves, as well as less risk of games falling out.
- Deeper base means better stability, this will not fall over.
- There are now rounded edges on the top of each model, and lips on the bottom of the “top” models. This allows easier alignment when gluing parts together.
- Larger print profiles allow those with larger printers to print taller holders without the need for gluing.
