Description
This adapter allows you to connect light sources with a Mini Bowens mount to softboxes or modifiers that use the Standard Bowens mount. It's a practical solution for photographers and videographers who want to expand their lighting setup compatibility without investing in new gear.
The adapter features precision-designed projections for the Mini Bowens side and slots for the Standard Bowens mount. Each side has 3 dedicated slots for spring stoppers, which are crucial to keeping the adapter securely locked in place. Please note: the spring stoppers differ in size—you’ll need 3 of each kind, and both models are included in the download.
Installation tip: After inserting the adapter into each mount, rotate it slightly to align the stopper slots, then insert the spring stoppers. This locking mechanism prevents any unwanted rotation or detachment during use.
Printing Recommendations
To ensure strength, durability, and heat resistance, it is highly recommended to print this adapter in PETG or stronger materials. Avoid PLA, as it may deform under high temperatures commonly produced by lighting equipment.
