Case for color swatchbooks

This is a sleek, customizable case for color reference swatch books. It's designed with a curved top to make it easier to insert the swatch book and to make space for the screw that holds the book together if you decide to make it the full height of your swatch book, though you don't have to.

Some of these reference books might come with a case, but mine didn't and if you need to transport them around, they might get tangled up or maybe loose some pages, and some of them are a little expensive.

I have made a few examples, but you should really use the customizer to make one that fits the one you have, as different revisions of these books might have slightly different amount of pages or thickness due to the type of color or coating, and hence different dimensions.

The customizer will add a tiny bit of extra room, which is enough to have the books slide in, but still for the case to stay on and not fall off by itself. If you would like to have a looser fit, add a millimeter extra in each dimension.

I used super thin layers (0.08mm), to get a smooth finish that has a minimum of wear on the books cover. If you decide to use thicker layers, maybe add a little more spacing to minimise the wear due to friction.
