KodaClip: Pet Treat Mount For Camera/Phone/Tripod
Print Profile(1)

Description
Up your pet portrait game with KodaClip, a treat holder for your camera, phone, or tripod.
Purfect Your Photos
- Capture your pet’s attention with their favourite treat or toy
- Includes hot shoe and tripod mounting plates
- Customisable phone mount for a perfect fit
- Easy to print with no supports required
Our dog Koda gets a bit camera shy and awkward when you try to take a photo of him. I designed this clip to hold his favourite treat and keep him focused on the camera. It worked so well, I wanted to share it with others.
Each mounting option is included as a separate plate. The provided phone plate is for an iPhone 16 with a silicone case. Use the customiser to generate the phone mount to suit your device.
⚠️ Important: The spring section in the phone mount will break if stretched too far, so be sure to enter the correct measurements.

Once you’ve printed and put it to use, share your results. I’d love to see the photos you capture.
Print Notes
- Prints fine in PLA, but the clip and phone mount spring will loosen over time
- For more frequent use, PETG or ABS is recommended
- I used the 0.16 High Quality profile with the following changes:
- Wall generator: Arachne
- Sparse infill density: 15%
- Sparse infill pattern: Cross hatch
- 3 wall loops for the phone mount
Assembly Guide
Parts are designed to fit together with a friction fit. After assembly, you may need to gently work the joints to loosen them up. The clip is designed to bind slightly so it holds its position once a treat or toy is placed in it.
The photos show the camera hot shoe mount, but the process is the same for the other mounting options.

Both connections on the arm are the same. Line the lug on the arm up with the hole in the mount.

Carefully work the lug into the hole until it snaps into place.

Line up the lug on the other side of the arm with the hole in the clip. Carefully work the lug into the hole until it snaps into place.

Updates
- 8 July 2025 - Updated the print profile to include a 4th plate with a toothed version of the clip for increased treat grip
