Description
Behold the mighty lockable chest, a treasure trove of secrets and snacks alike! This 3D masterpiece not only looks like it could guard your gold but also features a suitable mechanism to apply a common lock: that’s more secure than your grandma’s cookie jar. Perfect for hiding your valuables or just impressing your friends with your nerdish ideas - because nothing says ‘I’m a creative genius’ like a shiny, lockable chest that’s just waiting for a brave adventurer to open it.
The profile is almost the same as the standard extra draft, with few differences to shorten print time and avoid useless infills where not necessary. Another important feature of this profile is located in the support settings, since when using just the standard mode, the hole for the rotating axis of the top part gets filled with unremovable material!
Please notice that the model is oriented in order to optimize supports. Don't rotate the parts.
Materials for assembly:
- 14x M3 self-tapping screws, at least 12 mm length, but I suggest 30-05 mm;
- 1x piece of 1.75 filament, 110 mm in length. Please use a non-filled and resistant material like PET-G, ASA, PA, PC and so on.
The screws will fix the sides to main and top bodies, while the piece of filament will work as an axis for the opening mechanism.
